Synopsis
They call me Amore, not because it's my name, but because one day in class they gave me that nickname. It's ironic, because the love It's always been my weakness. I've only had one boyfriend… and he cheated on me. The night I found out, I hit rock bottom, but it was also the beginning: I met Camilo, Fran, and Edu—a waiter, a policeman, and a straight guy—who, without even trying, became my new best friends. The problem was that I ended up falling in love with one of them. Can you guess which one? Exactly. This is my story: a modern tragicomedy about ex-boyfriends, new friends, unfulfilled dreams, and a word that's both my curse… and my greatest ally: Love.
About the author
Pablo Wessling (Esplugues de Llobregat, 1984) is a graduate in Audiovisual Communication by the Autonomous University of Barcelona and has been trained as a writer at the School of Writing of the Ateneo Barcelonès.
His career in television has led him to be part of creative teams on successful programs such as Operation Triumph, Catch a Million, Now I get it either Soc i seréworking in casting and music.
He is the author of the novel Three good boys, winner of Rincón Award for Diversity 2021and has participated in the comic Wow! What I love about summer.
With Love, his new romantic comedy, confirms his agile, ironic and tender style, and his fresh perspective on contemporary LGBTQ+ relationships.
