About the artist
Before finishing high school, David LaChapelle was offered his first professional job by Andy Warhol for Interview magazine. His photographs have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, including the Tony Shafrazi Gallery and Deitch Projects in New York, and the Barbican Museum in London. His unconventional images of celebrities and contemporary pop culture have appeared on the covers and inside pages of magazines such as Vogue Italia, Vogue France, Vanity Fair, i-D, and Rolling Stone. In recent years, LaChapelle has expanded his work to include music videos, live theatrical performances, and documentary filmmaking.
