Solar Power, released on August 20, 2021, is the third album by Lorde and represents a turn towards acoustic textures and indie-folk, moving away from the electronic approach of MelodramaThe album articulates an imagery of summer, nature, and distance from fame, with nods to the Laurel Canyon school and a clear focus on voice and guitar. Key moments include “Solar Power”, “Stoned at the Nail Salon”, “Mood Ring” and “Oceanic Feeling”.

The credits include the co-production of Lorde and Jack Antonoff, with contributions from Malay; vocal collaborations by Phoebe Bridgers and Clairo throughout the album, and an intervention by Robyn in it outro of “Secrets from a Girl (Who's Seen It All)”The technical part includes mixtures of Mark “Spike” Stent and Laura Sisk, and the master's degree in Chris Gehringer.
