In addition to shining on television, Pupi has had a distinguished career in Madrid's nightlife and has toured all over Spain, performing at parties, stages, and Pride parades across all regions.
We will always remember their huge hit "Crisis," which marked a key moment in their career. This track wasn't included on the album. The song is a parody that Pupi Poisson made in 2010 of the song. Womanizer by Britney Spears, adapting it to reflect the economic situation in Spain at the time. The renowned Enrique Ramil, winner of the Gaviota Award for Best International Performer at the Viña del Mar Festival (2024), participated in the backing vocals, and the video features actress Joséle Román.
Another iconic theme is Verbenero Slut, and not included in the album either, is a reinvention of the classic Porompompero by Manolo Escobar, which Pupi Poisson released in 2015. The music video for this song sparked controversy when it was removed from YouTube at the request of a well-known beer brand that did not want to associate its brand with a drag queen. The incident sparked widespread debate within the LGBTQ+ community and highlighted the challenges queer artists face when breaking molds and stereotypes. Far from holding them back, this incident reaffirmed their commitment to authenticity and diversity, values that resonate in every song on this album.
It is important to note that both songs are not included in the album. Pupi PoissonHowever, they are two key pieces of his career that we can enjoy exclusively in his live performances.
