Queercore: Cómo punkear una revolución
Yony Leyser developed the idea for Queercore: How to Punk a Revolution during a tour with a group of queer artists. Years later, the experience gained would result in the acclaimed documentary project, of which this book offers, for the first time, a Spanish translation.
It is clear here that punk and queer are not styles or musical genres, but ideals worth fighting for. Ways to make the world we live in a better and more fun place. Leyser picks up the legacy of queercore to fight any form of conformity, encouraging the audience to free themselves and become a transformative force in society.
Filled with testimonies from icons like Peaches, John Waters, Bruce LaBruce, Billie Joe Armstrong, Jodi Bleyle, and Lynn Breedlove, this book is a true treasure for the queer community.
