Transapariencia: Soy Selena y soy una chica trans
Just as it happened to me, there are many boys and girls who want to start their transition, who are clear about who they are and what their gender identity is, but do not know how to begin the process or even how to share it with their family. It is a difficult path and, sometimes, many obstacles get in the way, but it is always worth it. I can attest to that. To start, I suggest you engrave in your memory that we have not come into this world to suffer, that you have the right to live your identity freely and to express yourself as you wish.
In this book, I will talk to you about my transition, my childhood, the support of my family, the bureaucratic and medical hurdles I had to face, the prejudices and mockery from people, transphobia, my own fears… I will try to share my experience as best as possible in case it can be helpful to you or to the people around you. To normalize something we are still fighting for today and to achieve a better future.
